The Opportunity
Neurex AI is building applied AI systems that operate inside real healthcare workflows. This role is for engineers who want to build the foundational platform that powers all of our healthcare AI products.
You will work on core infrastructure, APIs, and services that enable AI systems to operate reliably in production healthcare environments.
What You Will Do
- Design and build scalable platform services and APIs
- Implement secure, HIPAA-compliant infrastructure
- Work with AI and product teams to build integrations
- Develop authentication, authorization, and audit systems
- Build tooling and automation for development and deployment
- Own the reliability and performance of core platform components
What You Will Build
- Core platform APIs and microservices
- Healthcare integration connectors (EHR, RCM, HL7, FHIR)
- Data ingestion and processing pipelines
- Security and compliance infrastructure
- Developer tooling and internal platforms
Who You Are
- 5+ years of experience in backend or platform engineering
- Strong proficiency in Python, Go, or similar languages
- Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP) and Kubernetes
- Familiarity with microservices architecture and distributed systems
- Understanding of security best practices and compliance requirements
- Clear communicator with high standards
